Tipsy Clock Screensaver - Digital Clock Wobbling on Your Desktop
Software developer Michael Sablin really, really likes wobbling clocks. I say that because he put out several versions of Drunk Clock Screensaver, an application that displays an analog clock wobbling on your desktop. There’s a Light version (it comes with only 4 skins included by default), there’s 3D Drunken Screensaver version (a 3D version of the screensaver), there’s 3D Christmas Clock Screensaver (a Christmas version of the screensaver) and there’s Drunken Clock Screensaver Super Pack (comes with 61 skins included).
Alongside Drunk Clock Screensaver, Michael Sablin also rolled out Tipsy Clock Screensaver. What’s the difference between the two? The only noticeable difference is that Drunk Clock Screensaver displays an analog clock while Tipsy Clock Screensaver displays a digital clock, wobbling, swaying, rolling and doing other acrobatics on your desktop.
Just like Drunk Clock Screensaver, Tipsy Clock Screensaver gives the user access to several skins. If the skins that are included in the screensaver are not enough, you can always download more either from the screensaver’s settings pane or from cool-screensavers.com.
Speaking of the settings pane, from this location you can choose between two languages (English and Russian), choose between a few sound effects, select the clock’s wobbling and movement style, select the background’s movement style, adjust the screensaver’ speed. From the setting pane, but only in the registered version, you can add a custom message that will be displayed as a scrolling text at the bottom. In the unregistered version you cannot add such a custom message; you see a registration reminder instead.
Before you go get Tipsy Clock Screensaver and put it to the test, there are some technical details you need to know about. The following technical details:
Download – the download weighs in at 1.5MB. At such a lightweight download size it will only take a moment to get the application off the web and onto your computer.
Supported OS – at the time of writing this and according to the developer, Tipsy Clock Screensaver provides support for Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, and XP.
Limitations – the screensaver is not freeware, it is only free to try. The trial version is not time-limited, so you can use it for as long as you want. A registration reminder is displays as scrolling text at the bottom of the screen.
